Looking forward

Whenever I'm reading a book I ... shall we say... haven't fallen in love with... it seems all I can think of is what I GET to read next. Especially when It's such an appealing stack.

Only  part of my literal TBR pile. Except Bird by Bird, I didn't pay over $1.00 for any of them. And confession time - I bought Bird by Bird as a gift ....and because the guy working was cute and nice :)

What would you start with??

  1. oh my, that is a great pile! i love to read...i don't know which to start with. i had a hard time getting into the potato peel society, but i desperately wanted to love it.

i'm your newest follower, too. i decided i like too much to not follow...the last station. wasn't it great?! such great acting!

  2. START WITH GUERNSEY!!! Sorry about the capslock, but I feel very strongly about this. You'll fly through Guernsey, then go ahead with Bird By Bird. You'll be in the right frame of mind for it after Guernsey.

  3. Hi...

Thank you for stopping by my tablescape! Your daughters are beautiful and the kitties have such great LITERARY names!!!

I have a similar pile of books. I have to agree with the Guernsey Potato Peel's a delight! I don't know the others. Enjoy whichever you choose!

  4. Hi Laura,
Thanks for stopping by my blog and commenting on the roosters/chickens. Thanks for your kind words about the snowman too.
I too am into reading and listening to books on tape or my Zune. Too many good ones out there and never enough time!
I liked the Beach House and I also like the Pilot's Wife both for different reasons. Good luck in choosing! But I will now have to get the rest of these so that I too can read them!
    Enjoy your day!

  5. thanks for stopping by and leaving such a nice comment... I loved the Pilot's wife.... or all the pretty horses..

  6. Bird by Bird is a great book to get the creativity flowing!
I've read all the others except Will North''ve got a great selection there!
    Have fun!

Come visit again soon...we share some common threads!

  7. Oh I just stumbled upon your blog, the name of it just jumped out and got me. I saw your photo of the snake, you are so brave. Aren't copper heads very dangerous? Anyway, cute blog, if you don't mind I shall follow along.

  8. We had a book club going at work for a while, and although I've always been an avid reader, I had fallen away from it just for lack of time. But discussing the books, and being introduced to books I wouldn't have considered otherwise has really reawakened my love of reading. I'm looking forward to Guernsey as well, it was on our list, and there's no reason to not continue on to it. My favorite book recommended by the club members was The Help, which I didn't really want to read, but wound up loving it.
