My oldest Angel is home from the hospital for a week before she has to go back in for chemo treatment 2 of 4. Each treatment keeps her there for 4 weeks. But right now she's home and I'm happy as a clam. :)
I've been trying to read since I do end up just sitting by her bed a lot in case she needed something, but my mind just won't settle down on to one thing. I read some of Brisinger by Christopher Paolini (not bad but not great, well actually really really not great...sorta bad, it's dull) I read the first story in Stephen King's Full Dark No Stars thinking I'd treat myself to a little favorite author indulgence... meh... not that taken by it. Skimmed the other stories and gave up.
I'm looking for something as good as The Help and as engaging as Guernsey L&PPPS. Something warmer and comforting I guess...
Who wants to blow my comments up with suggestions? I can always move on the my Challenge list so what would you recommend from that? Just looking for some glorious literary escapism.
